Awash in the spirit of the untamed Texan frontier, the Brushy Creek Mavericks are the unapologetic keepers of Round Rock’s wilder history. This motley crew gathers monthly at the shadowy banks of Brushy Creek, where tales are taller than a longhorn's horns and the BBQ is smokier than a saloon at high noon. With a wink at the past and a nod to the future, they revive forgotten legends and spearhead guerrilla preservation projects, sans bureaucracy or permission slips.
