Less likely to be found in a mainstream museum and more in some obscure back alley where Sir Francis Drake allegedly once tripped over a cobblestone, the Historical Heritage Hipsters are the anti-modernists of Plymouth's cultural scene. Endlessly fascinated by every inch of their beloved city’s past, they organize quirky 'timeline tea parties' where members come dressed as their favorite historical figures – think Drake with artisanal coffee or Elizabethan ruffs paired with eco-friendly footwear. They adore discussing historical inaccuracies found in popular media, using phrases like, 'Well, actually, in 1597…' as conversational starters. They’re basically the Pelicans of Plymouth’s history scene – you can see them paddling around but never quite close enough to figure out what they're really up to.
