Cooee Art Leven is Australia's oldest exhibiting Aboriginal fine art gallery. Located in the heart of Redfern, Sydney in a spectacular building of a former Custard factory, the gallery specialises in ethically sourced contemporary Australian Indigenous paintings, secondary market Indigenous fine art, historically important bark paintings and early desert boards, sculpture and limited edition fine art prints. Its regular exhibition program includes solo shows by important living artists and curated exhibitions of important Indigenous art. Cooee Art Leven's extensive stockroom covers a wide range of regional styles with more than 3000 works of art by over 150 contemporary and traditional Australian Indigenous artists. The gift shop offers prints, books, ethically sourced hand-crafted gifts and quality artefacts from Indigenous communities. Each painting is sold with a Certificate of Authenticity highlighting the provenance of the work. Art Leven is a member of the Indigenous Art Code.
