Sean and Danielle Whaley opened Gandolfo`s New York Delicatessen in Rancho Cucamonga on July 12, 2007. They came across Gandolfo`s in Cherry Hills Co. while on vacation visiting their friend Alec 'Bunk' Wurth who was a patient at the Craig Institute and was being treated for a spinal cord injury that he received playing rugby. There were several friends at the hospital and they thought it would be a good idea to pick up some sandwiches for the group. As they were all enjoying their sandwiches Bunk said this was a great sandwich and everyone agreed. Later Sean and Danielle were discussing how good the sandwiches were and they wished there was a deli like that back home in So Cal. Their wish came true......
